Timeless Elegance in Pure Silk
For a long time, we have been asked the same question: when will Baturina make a dressing gown in pure silk?
We were simply waiting for the right silk.
Finally, we found it: a beautiful Italian pure silk twill in deep brown, decorated with a classic small medallion foulard pattern.
We found it in a beautiful deadstock Italian silk twill, woven from 100% silk in deep brown with a classic small medallion foulard pattern, traditionally associated with fine ties and menswear.
We turned this limited fabric into a small capsule collection of piped dressing gowns, pyjamas and boxer shorts, all individually made in our Hamburg atelier. Only 10 pieces will be made of each.
The designs are deliberately simple and lightweight, allowing the silk itself to take centre stage. The robe is left unlined to preserve its beautiful drape and almost weightless feel, making it comfortable throughout the year and particularly suitable for warmer climates.
Silk is naturally smooth, breathable and temperature regulating, which makes it especially wonderful for clothing worn close to the skin. And because we are working with existing deadstock rather than commissioning new fabric, only a limited number of pieces can ever be made.
Pure silk, classic menswear and uncomplicated comfort, made for ordinary days that deserve something a little extraordinary.

With this capsule collection, we wanted the silk itself to be the centre of attention.
Instead of adding heavy linings, elaborate trims or unnecessary structure, we chose a deliberately simple, unlined construction. The idea was to preserve everything we loved about this Italian silk twill in the first place: its lightness, fluid drape, subtle lustre and the way it moves against the body.
This collection was created for slow mornings, late breakfasts, reading on the sofa, travelling, working from home, warm evenings on the terrace and those rare days when doing absolutely nothing is exactly the plan.
Because perhaps the best thing about beautiful homewear is that you don’t need an occasion to wear it.
Each piece is intentionally uncomplicated. Clean silhouettes and contrasting piping reference traditional men’s nightwear, while the tiny medallion foulard motif gives the collection the character of classic silk neckwear.
