John Malkovich Wears Baturina Robe As Alfred Moretti in “Opus”
Opus is a 2025 American thriller film written and directed by Mark Anthony Green in his feature directorial debut. A young writer travels to the remote compound of a legendary pop star who mysteriously disappeared 30 years ago. All of these items are handmade by us and we’re excisted to see our work on the big screen on such a spectacular Hollywood icon.

The plot of “Opus”
1990s pop icon Alfred Moretti emerges from retirement with a shocking announcement — a new album — igniting a media frenzy. To celebrate, he invites six guests to an exclusive listening party at his secluded Utah compound: journalist Ariel and her editor Stan, talk show host Clara, influencer Emily, paparazza Bianca, and radio shock jock Bill.
When the group arrives, Ariel quickly senses something is off. Moretti’s followers, known as the “Levelists,” dress in identical uniforms and display unsettling, almost ritualistic behavior. While the charismatic star easily charms most of the guests, Ariel grows increasingly suspicious and begins digging deeper into the cult-like group.

At Baturina Homewear, each robe is individually handmade in our Hamburg-based studio. Inspired by historical men’s fashion and old Hollywood movies, each design is a thoughtful homage to classic elegance. We’re excited to see our robes in movies, since we always drew inspiration from them and now our own pieces grace the screen.
